Second graders learned about the art of Pablo Picasso. We discussed the art of his Blue Period, Rose Period, and Cubism works. The students seemed amazed at one of his realistic works he painted when he was only a teenager. It was so realistic that it looked like a photograph. Below students have painted distorted faces in the cubist-style of Picasso. Ramona is an art teacher in her thirty-fourth year with the Albertville City School System. Presently, she teaches first and second grade students. She is a native of Linden, Alabama and a 1985 graduate of the University of Alabama. Mrs. Hall was named Alabama Elementary Art Educator of the Year 2011 and the Alabama House and Senate honored her with a House Joint Resolution for earning Albertville Chamber of Commerce's 2011 Educator of the Year.
